Functieomschrijving
The Account Manager will report to the Hospital Sales Manager. He/she is responsible for the acquisition and growth of Hospital accounts and will have sales leadership for medical products and solutions of this company. Products include Custom Procedure Trays (CPT's), surgical drapes & gowns, personal protection as well as tapes, advanced wound care, sterilization, electrodes, IV care and immobilisation. The Account Manager is expected to create and maintain good long term relationships with a wide range of clients, opinion leaders and stakeholders in the hospital market. He/she will work together in close cooperation with a group of Medical Sales Representatives and Professional Service Specialist and act as the team's facilitator to set priorities and coordinate the work in the respective territory.
Responsibilities
- Develop individual territory business plan and implement strategy to achieve sales quota or objectives
- To maintain and develop existing customers through high levels of service in order to expand and strengthen the relationship
- To actively identify opportunities to introduce other Company goods and/or services, thereby increasing the revenue opportunity within each customer's business portfolio
- Plan, coordinate, and implement all activities necessary to achieve account sales objectives
- To take the lead in the coordination and management of new sales cycles and business plans
- To work with customers' management teams to understand particular business strategies
- To communicate customer requirements and/or schedules to internal staff in a timely and executable manner to promote optimum cost efficiency
- Attend workshops, trade shows and seminars to keep up-to-date on changes in the industry
- Report back to the business on key trends, threats and opportunities
- Works with Marketing and Staff to ensure alignment of objectives
Functie-eisen
- Bachelor's level of education, preferably in Business Administration/Economics or equivalent, can be substituted by significant experience in field-and/or sales management within similar business
- A minimum of 3-5 years sales experience in a similar role preferably in health care industry
- Must be a strong team player with a commitment to value based leadership (able to build a team that perceives themselves as a team)
- Self-starter with experience and desire to acquire new business
- Demonstrated success as a top sales performer, consistently exceeding quota
- Strong negotiation, influencing skills and an ability to persuade at management level
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong presentation skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple and complex projects, meet commitments and demonstrate responsive follow - through in areas of responsibility
- Technical-skills and knowledge required to successfully manage a project or to complete project related activities
- Personal-characteristics that underlie a person's capability to manage a project
- Business/Leadership-those big picture/context skills that enable a person to link any given project to the relationships, resources, and/or infrastructure of the organization
- Flexible: no 9 to 5 mentality
- Honest and hard working
- Fluency in Dutch and English
- Previous professional experience with hospital accounts would be an advantage
- Basic IT knowledge
