The Medical Affairs Officer Hematology is responsible for the medical support of products in the field of hematology (multiple myeloma, lymphoma) for the Netherlands. The Medical Affairs Officer (MAO) will especially maximize the medical field activities focusing on interaction with leading specialists and the initiation and execution of medical education activities. Since the MAO role involves extensive leading specialist interaction, job execution is 50% field-based and 50% office-based.
Tasks and responsibilities:
- To keep abreast of the medical and scientific knowledge.
- Development and maintenance of a contact network with leading specialists.
- Proactive and reactive communication of medical scientific data to leading specialists and broader external health-care related audiences.
- Organization and participation in medical education activities.
- Organization and participation in advisory boards in cooperation with the Medical Advisor.
- Provision of scientific support to company Sales Representatives, Marketing and others as appropriate.
- Support Medical Affairs study execution.
- Through scientific interactions, gain valuable insight into treatment patterns, and scientific activities in the therapeutic area and provide input to the company Medical Affairs Plan / Country Value Team Plan and business decision-making.
- Maintain compliance with local and EMEA standard operating procedures.
Functie-eisen
The profile/qualifications of the Medical Affairs Officer Hematology are:
- Scientific Degree: Medical Doctor, pharmaceutical or biomedical degree
- Experience in the field of hematology is a plus
- Strong analytical, communication, decision-making and leadership skills for interaction with external and internal customers and partners
- Highly customer focused
- Excellent communication skills (including presentation skills) and team player
- Willing to comply with regulatory requirements and with company policy on business integrity
- Languages: Dutch, English: spoken, written
- Essential computer skills: knowledge of Microsoft Office (Email, PowerPoint and Excel)
