Functieomschrijving
The Field Sales Manager for the Netherlands will report to the (National) Sales Manager Oral Health Care. He/she will have sales leadership for dental core & digital products and supervise a team of sales representatives supported by a marketing team. The Field Sales Manager is expected to create and maintain good long term relationships with a wide range of clients, opinion leaders and partners in dental and orthodontic industry. He/she will partly work as field sales visiting the large accounts (end-users) and strategic partners in dental core and digital industry. Together with the Sales- and Marketing Manager the Field Sales Manager is responsible for channel effectiveness, the creation of alternative business models and for identifying & exploring new market opportunities.
This position will offer a high level of autonomy and influence. The opportunity is threefold:

- To take a lead role within a business (Dental Core) that is well established, yet still possesses the dynamism and ambition and pursue further growth.
- To build up and develop the position of the company in today's fastest growing market (Digital Dentistry)
Responsibilities
- Interact with, coach and support the subordinate positions in order to establish a process of learning and development thereby increasing performance.
- Identify training needs and develop the sales force in order to continuously build the organization in terms of competences and performance;
- Lead the sales force in terms of setting goals (quantitative and qualitative) and follow-up their performance to ensure that they work according to the defined strategy and company's values and that the goals are achieved;
- Develop and implement short and long-term sales plans in order to reach objectives;
- Effectively coordinate & manage sales activities
- Identify and evaluate long-term market trends in order to exploit opportunities for future growth of profitable business;
- Define the market approach and identify changes whenever necessary to optimize the utilization of resources whilst maximizing profitability;
- Monitor sales, contribution and costs in order to take corrective actions if necessary;
- Develop and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders and key accounts;
- Ensure full implementation of defined strategies;
- Attend workshops, trade shows and seminars to keep up-to-date on changes in the industry;
- Ensure efficient leverage of all tools available in terms of CRM, account plans, concise sales reports and other computer related tools in order to increase the efficiency of the sales force;
- Follow-up adherence to the processes defined in order that the business become increasingly successful and efficient;
- Give constructive feedback on the existing organization and processes in order to increase the overall efficiency. This variates from new business activities, to marketing
Functie-eisen
Requirements:
- Educated at academic level, preferably in Business Administration/Economics or equivalent, can be substituted by significant experience in field-and/or sales management within similar business;
- A minimum of 10 years professional experience among which 4-6 years of business experience in a healthcare and preferably dental company is an advantage;
- At least 3 years successful experience in managing a team on regional-or national level;
- People manager, team leader, good communicator and net-worker with hands-on management skills;
- Proven commercial and organizational skills, with experience in developing profitable business opportunities, building deep and professional relationships at all levels of organizations;
- Strategic and innovative thinker and capable to identify and explore new markets and tap profitable business opportunities;
- Must be able to translate strategy into concrete actions;
- Proven ability to manage multiple and complex projects, meet commitments and demonstrate responsive follow - through in areas of responsibility;
- A self-starter, capable of operating remotely with minimal supervision;
- Strong negotiation, influencing skills and an ability to persuade at management level;
- Must be able to inspire and lead;
- Flexible: no 9 to 5 mentality;
- Honest and hard working;
- Fluency in Dutch and English;
- Basic IT knowledge.
